Jeff Carlson is a contemporary singer-songwriter who reaches his audience with harmonically rich music and well crafted, compelling lyrics. A seasoned guitar player and vocalist, Jeff’s music brings elements of traditional intimate singer-songwriter style, indie folk, alt pop, and folk rock into engaging and accessible songs.

Having walked a musical path that has brought him from Western New York, through Boston and New York City, and stopped in Connecticut, Jeff has been exposed to, and influenced by a wide variety of musical styles. Initially drawn in by the Beatles, his early influences also included great singer-songwriters such as CSN, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell, but quickly grew to include a range of styles from traditional folk to jazz and blues, post-punk alt pop to musical theater story telling. Building from the common thread that runs through these influences of creative and inspired songs, Jeff has developed a unique voice to his songwriting that draws in his audiences, and leaves them singing the fluid melodies and relatable lyrics.

Jeff has recently released a new solo album, Unknown Corners. Written, recorded, and produced over the span of 2025, this collection of songs represents elements of a highly creative and expressive time for the singer-songwriter. As life continues to evolve, he puts all he can capture into the stories he tells through the songs that he sings.
